love like there's no tomorrow
fiction is the second chance that life denies us

Made apple strudels, played scrabble and napped today, me and mine. Got a hair cut too. Weekend was nice, relaxing mostly, and I'm off to Waterloo/Laurier tomorrow to visit the Univs and hopefully some friends. I don't relish the early morning haha.

You know, we were talking about the process of photosynthesis today, what with the photons of sunlight energy and the chlorophyll and making of the ATP etc etc and I was thinking, on the bus... maybe Clark Kent (aka Superman) can photosynthesize. I mean, the reason he's so 'super' is because of sunlight; sunlight drives his superpowers. Now I don't know DC comics canon, or really, any canonical Superman background, so I'm free to make up my own hypothesis. Maybe Clark can photosynthesize, turn light energy into chemical energy, and the reason why he's super-strong, super-fast, super-human, is because, while humans can only produce energy through cellular respiration (break down of sugars), Clark can do both, producing more energy, and making him able to move/do whatever faster/better/stronger. Ya know, just a theory. XD

Oktoberfest was a lot of fun this year (as always lol). Got another henna tat, might put up pictures later. I've got a crap load of bio notes to write/rewrite, as well as math homework to do, and a quiz to study for in each, plus Physics. Phew. This weekend will be busy, and I'm going fishing with Mok!

I know I don't post a whole lot, but I thought this important enough to write about. Yorkdale and Scarborough Town Center malls are running 'Operation Winter Warmth', and it's a coat drive basically; they're asking for 'gently used' coats to be donated to these malls, where they will be distributed school children in the community. I just thought that it sounds like a really good idea, and that if anybody's able, this drive, and there are probably others like it in the community, is running and could probably use some support. :) That's it. Enjoy the beginning/end of fall, and here comes winter (holidays!)

So yesterday was Stephen's birthday, and I got to put all my meticulous plans into effect. ^_^ It was a lot of fun, I went downtown and (sort of) surprised him @ res, we had breakfast, went to the Science Center, took him out to dinner @ the restaurant in the Marriot (I forgot that's where prom was lol), mmm good dinner lol escargots and steak and creme brule cheese cake ^_^ And then we went to see The Forgotten, and apparently we were the only two in the theatre that were freaked out -_-;; Everybody else was definitely laughing at the *woooosh*. Bah. No more scary movies, I can't take'em. Got home 12ish. I could never take the subway by myself that late, I'd fall asleep and miss my stop lol. It was good though. ^_^ And the rest of the weekend (Sunday :P) I have little to no work, which is also of the good XD

*smack* This is the sound of me hitting my head against my desk. *smack smack smack* Repeatedly. I have been up for the last two hours. I will most likely be up for the next two as well. I have been having low grade stomach cramps all night. I cannot sleep. This is less than entertaining for me. *smack smack*

I am dead tired. Two, three, maybe four months of planning and work and organisation has finally concluded - somewhat anti-climatically, but it's over nonetheless. I presented my last mini-workshop today, the culmination of all the work put into these forums; it's over. And in a way I'm glad, but really now is when all the wariness and the fatigue kicks in. I would love to just crawl in bed and take a nap, now that this is over, the stresses of the week, of everything are just oozing into my bones. And we're only what? six weeks into school lol. One day at a time: step by step, breath by breath. I'm looking forward so much to this weekend, celebrating my boyfriend's birthday - it'll be a good relaxing fun time for the both of us and it should be a blast. Hopefully all goes as plans :)

Hmm I update less and less frequently... there goes my theory that it's only summer that decreases blogging. So, it appears, does a lot of work. lol ah well. Thanksgiving weekend, Monday off school, but the teachers feel the need to pile on the work anyways :P Commencement was Thursday, it was great seeing all the grads back again, last year I didn't know anybody so it was pretty boring watching the ceremony, but I enjoyed it this year. Dinner with them all, for Diana and Mok's birthday, was entertaining, as the restaurant's power was failing and A/C was non-existent. The power ended up going out as we were getting our bill. Went BBT after and there was a hearty round of yearbook signing.

Speaking of yearbooks! Phew little bit of stress getting those babies here before Commencement; they were supposed to arrive on Wednesday but hadn't, and I was terrified they wouldn't come in time - but 10 o'clock Thursday morning they were here, and I spent a good five minutes flipping through and seeing little mistakes here and there. It's not perfect I know, but it looks pretty damn good. ^_^

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance....I hope you dance.

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin' might mean takin' chances but they're worth takin',
Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth makin',
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to sellin' out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone.)

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

Dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance..

It's a lovely song that I've been hearing on the radio a lot; I love the chorus and the sentiment. This week's gonna be busy, but I enjoy it. I think what it is is that as long as I'm busy because of things I chose to do (ie. extra-currics) I have fun doing it. Which is good. Hehe. This weekend was nice, Stephen and I went to Sushi on 7 for lunch, had dinner with his family, today we were just working on our respective homeworks. He got me the cutest teddy for 7 months.

I'm really looking forward to commencement, to seeing everybody there and stuff. And also the yearbooks, which barring any unforseen circumstances, should be here Wednesday or Thursday; so listen to the announcements and pop by the Blue Zone where we'll be at. :)
