Was out pretty much all today; checking out the new developments again (got some cool Gucci Envy perfume samples) and then downtown to a Jays game, part of our celebrate T.O. package. Not a big fan of baseball myself, I spent about as much time watching the game as the hotties in the seats in front of me. Yum; three guys, one girl, but I wasn't really paying attention to the couple (although they were both cute), cause damn, the other two were hot. Good looks, great style, and the one guy made long hair look goood (collar length, messy, layered). And damn, if they aren't fucking, they should be. XD Mmm... I mean, they go missing for an entire inning, and then come back looking disoriented. *grin* Very sexy people. They do make'em fine in Toronto.
So that was my Saturday; went to dinner after that, dumplings and stuff. Very yummy. And like I said, we had rented 'Count of Monte Cristo' that morning, so we watched it. Awesome movie.
And so, I kind of lied about my weekend being busy, because Saturday was about the end of said busyness. I spent all of today playing 'Legend Of Zelda:The Wind Waker'. ^_^;; And I mean, all day, from about 9.00 in the morning til 8.00 at night-ish, with a break for lunch. And after dinner, we watched Spiderman; I've seen it, but my dad hasn't, so we rented it to watch again. Good movie, that. And now here I am, catching up on all my email and site stuff; need to work on that custom layout I do. :P The stuff I had in mind might not work; so we'll have to see. Bleh.

Footsteps against asphalt, and he clutched his hands angrily.
'I told you, don't-'
'And I'm telling you, don't.' A sharp command belying a softer countenance, and he suddenly felt more tired than ever before.
'What are you doing?' he asked without turning around.
'Why does he ask, knowing the answer?' she retorted.
He exhaled sharply, walking closer to the edge. 'I don't need this,' he proclaimed to the air.
She never moved, but her voice carried across their distance. 'Would you have them watch you die?'
'Get away from me,' he shouts at the crowd, eyes blazing. He backs away, each footfall loud to his ears as he traverses across the gravelled roof.
'Please, don't do this,' a distraught voice cries; he can't recognise it. All the familiar faces blur as he takes his steps towards the edge, and he wishes they would all go away.
A man steps out from the rest, and he hesitates. 'Think about what you're doing boy,' he calls, the words ripped away by the winds.
'No, don't. Don't come any closer.' His request ignored as the man strides across the roof, a hand extended.
'You don't want to do this. Just come back,' the man says gently.
He feels cold and trapped, backing away from the words. 'Don't,' he restates, but his voice wavers and is ignored. He can see the crowd behind the man, all held agape, and he looks behind him to a sky that is grey and uninviting.
'Don't,' he says again, with newfound resolution. He has reached the edge. Giving the man one last, hard look, he jumps.
He can here the cries above him as he lands with a thud on a lowered platform of the roof. The hands bracing his fall sting against the pavement, and he clings to the pain as he looks up above him, watching as the shocked face peers down, eyes wide. He doesn't say a word, but his eyes hold a resolute warning, and the man stands away, back stiff as he walks back to the crowd and out of view.
There would be no more platforms beneath him.
'Would you have them watch you die?'
He turned to her abruptly and his voice was harsh. 'It is their choice.'
'No.' She stared at him, hard truth in her eyes. 'It is yours.'
He said nothing, standing under her gaze. 'You don't understand,' he pronounced softly, turning his back on her and raising his head to the stormy sky. He listened with half an ear as she came closer, but did nothing.
'Don't do this,' she said softly, and she was standing too close, but he didn't move away.
'You have no right,' he breathed out.
'I'm asking you despite.'
He clutched his arms, shuddering; against the winds and the circumstances. 'I hate this. I hate you,' he added fervently.
'I apologise.' A tentative touch against his upper arm, and he sighed.
They were silent for a time. 'You had no right,' he told her as her hand tightened against his arm, a solid, grounding weight.
'Nor did you, to leave us.' She lay her forehead against his back, quiet, and they stood against the darkened sky, waiting for the rain.

Aaarg. Blogger's down for the switch, so I'm doin' the txt file thing again. But today's a good day, so I don't really mind. Ran this morning, it's soo hot out there; then went and checked out the new developments - the Rogers Video's open now, looking very cool. Went shopping with my mum for about four hours; was a ton of fun. Bought lots of things; capris (which I've been wanting forever) from Urban Behaviour (all their capris are on sale; it's great), that halter top I've been pining for from Jacob Annexe, and ankle socks from Thriftys/Bluenotes. V. cute, blue with pompoms. Ahh, I'm so girly. Also, my mom bought capris from UB too, and a skirt, both of which I can fit into, so it's like *I* got more clothes, but without the guilt. *grin* Now all I want are flipflops, and high sandals, like the really cute ones from Payless. We tried a lot've them on. So you know, good day. ^_^

I've also got something of a plot bunny going on in my head, a Mauraders story, James/Sirius, Sirius/Lupin sort of deal, wherein James and Sirius have a sort of friends with benefits type thing going on, while Sirius pines for Lupin and so forth, and James tells him to go for it. ^_^;;; I've had it rolling 'round in my head, but I don't have the skill to write it. Part of the hard part of writing fanfiction is staying in character; and I can't. :P

***massive spoiler alert***
Why'd she have to kill off Sirius?! Oh dear, if I had been another more minor character, I would've been ok, but, Sirius! He's about as important to me as he was to Harry. Oh jesus, I could've cried. I thought it would have been Mad-Eye, or I was even afraid it was Hermione, but Sirius?! He's only just started to become important to the plot, and Rowling goes and kills him off!!! I feel the incredible need to go find some Lupin/Sirius slash right now; I refuse to lose his character; even if it'll have to only be in slash that he's available. Oh, dear indeed.
But other than that, the book was wonderful on a whole. Lots of development, the series is taking a darker spin. It's very good, the plot twist this book took has never been explored in fanfics, as I know, so it was nice and new. There were several ideas that have already popped up in fanfiction however, it's reminent of lanning cook's smallville series, and how it coincided with the tv series. And I love how the characters have been developing. I for one, love this take on Ginny, very fanfic'ish of her, she's incredibly mature. The changes in Harry are interesting, it's very relate-able - teenage angst and all. And the stress between the three is quite interesting as well. But if only.... oh dear. :P Anyways, while reading the book, I've also been picking up as much subtext slash as possible, and writing them down. ^_^;; Cause I am a slashaholic. Here they are then :

Sirius and Lupin had given Harry a set of excellent books... [heh, giving Christmas presents as a couple... oh, you may think I'm stretching here but... I mean, Lupin is the only one that actually *lives* with Sirius - they tell that to you right in the book; the others are more like visitors]

Sirius was lounging in his chair... he was very good looking; his hair fell into his eyes with a sort of casual elegance... two seats along... - Harry's stomach gave another pleasureable squirm - was Remus Lupin... [they couldn't make it easier for me... both quotes are of Harry's thoughts, both giving into the fact that Harry finds both guys and girls attractive, added to the fact that he had made a spectacular mess of Cho..]
All in all, good book, the plot's moving along quite nicely... if only we hadn't of had to lose him...

About last night. We had 8 people stuffed into the long booth seats, and I was sharing a seat with Jocelyn until I spilled coke onto us, the chair and my bag wherein we both left the chair and I ended up sitting with Brian for dinner; Eric's an icky eater. We then hung out and stuff, I believe there are pictures of Lisa's belt turned chain/choker/collar. *grin* We walked our way to Doug's house, which was fun all on it's own. Heh. They're all such boys. When we got there, it kind of took us a while to get into the pool, cause it was chilly and stuff, but most of us finally did. I couldn't see worth a shit, cause I didn't wear my glasses into the pool; didn't want to loose them, what with the many people trying to drown me! or throw me up and back into the pool. It was still fun. Up and down, up and down. *grin* Like a little baby chair. And then there was Doug and Devin, both blowing into the same pool noodle, while I was still sitting on it. It was hilarious fun; Devin's face was so red. They kept blowing water into each other's lungs. XD We got out of the pool near the end, and it was freezing, and I'm all bitten by mosquitos now (west nile!! :P), very ichy. We hung out in Doug's living room for a bit, before we started leaving one by one. Oh, and it was Puiyan and Gill's birthday both today. One turning 15, one turning 16. Very cool. Happy Birthday to you all again!

Internet was being a bitch again, earlier, but I've fixed it for now. I watched the Animatrix, which, wow, is really neat. The first one 'Final Flight of Osiris' was the best, but all the others were pretty neat. Today in Sci. class we went to this blow up planatarium in the library, which was super cool; I could hear Nick from across the dome, we kept whispering to each other, and Devin would look at me when I talked, but I'd be like, 'just talking to nick'. Super dark, and very neat, although it started giving me a slight headache. But cool anyways. In French we watched the first half of 'Count Of Monte Cristo', which is *awesome*; we're finishing it Monday, and I can't wait, cause it's so cool. Might rent it to watch at home, in English.

Went to Unionville Fest. yesterday with Lise, Doug, the Hunter-wells, Bo (and Matt was around for a while). Was lots of fun; tons of free stuff. Whole cans of Brisk lemonade, and little mini Frapps from Second Cup, which were great. Chocolate coffee goodness. Saw a lotta people from school, our jazz band was playing for a while, Danny and Tori and Chris and stuff. We mostly wandered around for about 3 hours, some people bought stuff; I didn't even have lunch, was too lazy. :P Then Lisa's parents gave us a ride to her house, and we spent the rest of the evening there, swimming (her pool rocks very much), eating, watching High Fedelity (weird movie, damn Emo tastes), and music videos (tatu is not porn). But yeah, had a ton of fun. I love Lisa's house; doing things with these people; I miss it. I've been cutting myself off from my social life because of exams and final-shit and stuff but now I remember why I love my friends. Just wait til the summer Lisa, I'll be invading your house.
Interestingly, I too had a weird dream last night. I was apperently in a wedding as a bridesmaid, but the dress was really skimpy, like a halter top middriff thing, the colour of mitallic pink (like Lisa's colour changing nail polish). Yeah. And then there was something about something else, but I can't remember any more.
And now I have some homework to get done; thought putting together the book cover would take less time, but no. Damn it. And the 'net wasn't working for a while, driving me insane. And I still want to clean up my Geo presentation, go for a run, and practice my French and English presentations too. Arg.
